Perhaps. I said that mainly because of what my female friends from India have said and how they feel about their home. It’s a complex thing, and I’m not from there. I’m just expressing my surprise

Met my friends at a US university. They’re from The states of Kerala and Karnataka.

So a bit of bias on my and their parts, with them being individuals who sought out US schooling.
