Woke up this morning to find the world completely coated with ice overnight. The driveway is an ice slick, and the trees and fences are all iced over. I am about to set off for work, hoping the roads have already been salted. My supervisor already texted me an ice warning so I'd have an advance heads-up. Here we go! (It will certainly not be a busy day at the zoo today!)
It has warmed up a bit since I left for work, and the ice on the ground has melted, though there is still a slight coating on the trees. A light fog when I arrived has gotten denser as the air warms. I took this photo about two hours ago, when first arriving here, so by this time the trees are dripping with melted ice, and the gorge is twice as foggy. I love working in this beautiful park!
