After the server slam, I had a feeling Marathon would be doing Tarkov numbers on Steam, rather than ARC Raiders, and I think that's where it looks like they're going to land. It's a little better than Destiny 2, which has had years of decline, and Tarkov, which has been in early access for years.

For an indie, these would be very respectable numbers.

For Bungie? For Sony? For the people who think Marathon comes at the expense of Destiny 3?

I do worry about their performance targets…

@stroughtonsmith I hope Sony had reasonable expectations for numbers going into this. There's simply no way the game can be a breakout hit like ARC Raiders with how brutal it can be sometimes. But that difference is what makes it more thrilling and sticky. I loved my time with ARC but have no desire to go back after playing Marathon.
