Words have meanings.

Hide: They are still running in the background, you just don't see them.
Block (Mozilla): Like an ad blocker, takes out some parts, but needs to be updated constantly because they keep trying to sneak it past the block.
Disable: It's still installed, waiting for you to absentmindedly click the wrong option, or install the next update.
Uninstall: It was installed without your consent (we used to call that malware), but at least you can remove it.
Not installed: The correct way of giving the user choice.
