I've been binging the #TearmoonEmpire #LightNovel series in anticipation of the upcoming #anime. I already had dipped my toe into the manga and webnovel so I was onboard with the concept, but was interested in seeing how long the shtick could last.
I don't know if it's the author's original style or a quirk of the translator, but this is the most refreshingly funny fantasy I've read in a long time.
The omnipotent, tongue-in-cheek Narrator is a decided contrast to the prevalence of first person isekai fantasy LNs. I am looking forward to the Narrator's voice-overs in the anime.
The modern, casual language may not endear itself to more serious fantasy fans but works well for the serialised fantasy comedy with heartfelt moments.
I worry that it may be overlooked as another villainess reincarnation anime without people giving it a chance, but for me I will continue reading and enjoying it.
