Of course it makes sense that this war in #Iran will affect fuel prices.
But why did the price rise as soon as the first explosion happened?

Easy: #Cartels and price fixing. So those greedy, already very rich people in control of this increasingly rare commodity are just waiting for the next chance to push up prices for their own pockets.

And some idiot politicians play right into their hands.

@MattPCart I was thinking this as I saw peteol prices creeping up last week. Quick to go up, very slow to come back down. That’s capitalism for you.

@swisslet remember when UK VAT used to be 17.5%?
Then Cameron dropped it to 15% for a short period to kickstart the economy. Then he raised it to 20% "for a short period" to stimulate growth but it would return to 17.5%

Yeah, guess which step never happened...
