Big Blu GnuSpeaking of the #MiddleEast, I could never fully grasp why our elected politicians have been so eager to conflate America's interests with Israel's own. We are two distinct countries with our own regional challenges. In fact, #UnitedStates aid has rendered #Israel such a vassal that the IDF might as well lay down its weapons and watch as the US Marines "invade" Israel's shores, advance eastward, and capture (West) Jerusalem, with minimal change to the status quo.
Granted, our politicians could emigrate to Israel, but with an attitude like that, I think it would be more convenient on their part to make it the 51st state of the US. Someone in Congress should sponsor a satirical bill that "authorizes" an invasion.
