Bluesky team crashing out because people rightfully called them out for saying AI writes 99% of their code, then blaming “cartoon gooners”

Oh my

@dansup They do not look good throughout this entire exchange…at all. 🙃
@dansup is the Why guy a confirmed Bluesky developer?

@GreatBigTable yes "why" is a Bluesky team member (hence the .bsky.team suffix in the handle), been with the company since early on.

@dansup

@GreatBigTable @dansup Confirmed as part of BlueSky's team anyway. Because of the way custom handles are tied to domains and how the domain owner must configure DNS records to allow a specific handle, you can't get a handle on the *.bsky.team domain without being an employee of Bluesky or otherwise part of their team.
@GreatBigTable He is due to being bsky.team in there username
@dansup Well that explains the state of accessibility on the platform.
@dansup what does the +20 +100 mean?

@thehole @dansup the person who took that screenshot has subscribed to a labeling service on Bluesky that, among other things, will show that little badge on accounts that have received a high number of blocks in the last 24 hours. In this case, it shows that more than 100 people have blocked the screenshotted accounts in the last day. It's generally a sign that the account is low-quality or a spammer.

I believe it comes from this labeling service: https://bsky.app/profile/labeler.hailey.at

Hailey's Labeler (@labeler.hailey.at)

A labeler by @hailey.at, powered by https://github.com/roostorg/osprey Labels are not absolute judgements, but rather information about the type of account or content you may be interacting with. Ruleset: https://github.com/haileyok/atproto-ruleset

@baralheia
ah, thank you very much, that helped a lot!
@dansup
@thehole @dansup you're welcome! In this specific case, @/why.bsky.team is getting blocked by tons of people for his pro-vibecoding stance in his work with BlueSky.
@thehole @dansup Bluesky can add labels to people’s accounts that you can subscribe to as a form of soft moderation. It looks like there’s some label for blocks and I suppose the +20 just isn’t replaced when they got blocked enough for the +100
@dansup could you add alt-text to make it accessible to people who use screen readers, please?
