Comet has three hardware kill switches - WiFi, camera, microphone. They don't just toggle a software flag. They physically cut power at the circuit level.

@mechasystems I think you are one step away from designing a real Linux smartphone like Librem 5, but at an affordable price. I would love for this to happen soon. I wish to Comet success too!

You can actually but it may not be as frictionless as what we are used to. Our phones do a lot more and that sets a lot of expectations early on. Hopefully with the Comet we can help the Linux ecosystem on mobile advance further to make way for a more mainstream ready hardware in the future.
