Today, Google Docs decided that `option + w` on my work MacBook should pop-up an AI tool. But option + a letter is also how you access a second layer of letters, like AltGr on Linux.

I am Dutch and use a non-Swedish keyboard, but I live in Sweden and can’t completely avoid writing in Swedish. `option + w` is where the å sits. The 27th letter of the alphabet.

As if to mock me, asking the all-powerful AI to write the å for me results in an error.
@Zegnat I am using Karabiner on my Macs to remap the necessary keys. It’s really powerful.
@weingrill I looked at remapping but I couldn’t figure out how it would help, as it would still be sending `option + w` to send the å. Can I make it output a specific unicode character for a specific key? 🤔 Without sending keystrokes that Google is going to hijack?
