Brought home some #espresso beans. Pulled a shot on a Bambino Plus with default settings, then made a cappuccino on the same machine. Tomorrow I'll try with the Flair 58.

Dialed in the #espresso on the Flair 58, pulled a double shot to compare with the Bambino Plus. Then another to make a cappuccino.

I don’t think I have the palate to distinguish the difference.

@aardrian Lovely crema on both this and the Bambino shot.
Interesting to hear that the Flair produces such similar-tasting results. How are you finding the workflow of each machine?

@bingocaller I think the Flair was smoother and less bitter, but since I can’t do a blind taste test I may be biased. Also, I may simply be bad at tasting.

I prefer the Flair workflow because I like thinking I have control over every aspect (I have the pressure gauge).

But if I’m in a rush and only want a milk drink, the Bambino Plus workflow is simply faster. Using default settings and kit.

@aardrian Thanks, that’s really helpful. I’ve been looking at those two exact machines as my possible first foray into actual espresso making at home.
