I watched some animated stuff recently, these I liked quite a bit:

Over the Garden Wall (2014)

Scavengers Reign (2023)

Kaiba (2008)

Haibane Renmei (2002)

Seeing these recommended I think I can trust your other two recommendations. Loved Scavengers Reign, and Over the Garden Wall was certainly not something I ever expected to turn out the way it did. I started it on a whim but ended up loving it.

You can watch Kaiba on youtube if you have no other (better quality) means of watching, but be warned, this anime is very experimental and weird.

No worries, experimental and weird are fine for me. I like some oddball things. 🙂
