But I try to stay consistent about boosting only posts where media has alt-text (textual description of what's happening on the media), because it helps out immensely to folx using screen readers, and it's also very convenient for search.

I don't want to be annoying and naggy about it, so might I offer my help? I can leave alt text in the replies, and you can add it to the post when you have the time - or I can do separate posts where I write alt text and link to your original post. Stuff like this gets extra visibility with hashtag #Alt4You , or you can add hashtag #Alt4Me so that other people can also chime in to help.
