@ori@fogti Through stations have more capacity than terminal stations, which is meant to be the whole point of this project. I still don’t believe that 8 through platforms can replace 16 terminal platforms though, especially considering the induced demand a more efficient station is likely to bring
@ori@dpk compared to other german through stations (hamburg has 12, köln has 11 (both have more yearly passengers than stuttgrart)) it's not even that bad. but prbly still not gonna be enough once demand ramps up
@xyno@ori Especially considering it’s supposed to be part of a new trans-European international high speed project connecting Paris to Vienna, so presumably there will be significantly more international service there after opening 🫠
