I'm two episodes away from finishing #kdrama #IlJiMae Got to say, up until episode 13, this felt like homework, and I don't mean because of the historical content. I need things a little tighter.

Also, admittedly, my enjoyment was tempered by the knowledge that the second lead was credibly accused of sexual assault.

Finished #kDrama #iljimae How very Batman 🙄 I mean even down to the Batgirl character. And what was even the point of Han Hyo Joo's character?

I now need a palate cleanser of either a thriller or something really, stupidly funny.

@dnkboston

This piqued my curiosity - a Batman/Batgirl kDrama??

@whoosh Okay! It's a "gentleman thief" story, so it's not too difficult for certain similarities. But it went further than that. He has an underground lair, he not only creates a disguise with a mask, he also fashions metal pieces of armor for his arms--including one that shoots out a rope. And he's likened to a bat more than once, no joke.

One of the young women who loves him get injured when she takes his place to protect him, which made me think of Barbara Gordon/Oracle.

@whoosh And of course, his noble father was killed at the beginning, which explains his origin story.

It was released around the time the second Christian Bale Batman movie came out, so I'm sure these weren't coincidences.
