Somehow it's already been a week and it's driving lesson day again. After seeing how hard lesson one was, I'm now absolutely dreading the second one.

And it's also not until 1pm, so goal for this morning is just to get something, anything useful done and not fall into Waiting Mode.

So far I hid in bed for an extra hour so not the best start

Edit: Lesson cancelled, I am free

Edit to the edit: Lesson got uncancelled and I survived 🎉

Second lesson done! Getting slightly better at mirrors, still a coward with the gears though and very unable to steer round corners if I'm doing a gear change at the same time 😅

On the bright side he says I've got good coordination and I choose to believe it wasn't sarcastic.

@thegiddystitcher eventually your limbs just go autopilot and you stop having to pay attention to the individual actions. Sounds impossible in the beginning I know, but it's exactly like how you never really have to figure out what to do with your legs while looking for snacks 👍
@ric I have no doubt it's possible eventually. But at nearly forty quid an hour I do doubt whether my driving fund savings will hold out that long 😅
@thegiddystitcher ooft, that's gone up a tad since i was a learner 😯
@ric Yeah, genuinely no idea how teenagers are managing it. But it is what it is 🤷‍♀️
@thegiddystitcher I'm sure my lessons were about £7 an hour. And I'm not certain that I even paid for them myself 😂
@ric This is not making me feel better 😭
@thegiddystitcher err... The Internet barely existed, and YouTube definitely didn't. Is that better? 😆
@ric It'll do
@thegiddystitcher oh, and my instructor had power steering but my mum didn't, so switching between cars was horrible. There you go.
