The guy on the left was a US Marine Lt. Colonel who was arrested and convicted for selling missiles to Iran.

The guy on the right is a Fox "news" *snicker* "military analyst" who says Iran shouldn't have missiles.

They're the same guy.

Seriously though, people change their minds.
Some even have a change of heart.
You can't hold Lt. Col. Oliver North to what he once did.
Maybe prison time changed his views.

So he did the thing at the behest of the Reagan admin really..

yes. Reagan and the CIA not only ran the October Surprise (to prevent the hostage release that Carter negotiated), but funded death squads in Central America. check out Gary Webb's reporting (Dark Alliance) and Oliver Stone's movie "Salvador" for some background.
