The Daily Grind: Have you ever actually gotten kicked out of an MMO group for elitist reasons?

@massivelyop definitely. Especially within PvP other players thinking they know it all. Awful sometimes. Although probably more often in PvP you'll just have others quit or feed the other team when they get mad at me. Just happened few months ago to me in #GuildWarsReforged . I even told the team when I joined that I hadn't played in 20 years and they were still shocked in the 2nd match when I didn't have the right build to take on a 2 Monk team, which is usually hard anyways. Idiots
@massivelyop no... but ive had entire gaming communities dissolve because of weird drama or elitist behavior among some of the upper echelons.
@massivelyop I'm not sure I've been kicked from a group for elitist reasons. I've been threatened to be kicked if I didn't maintain whatever debuff all the time on the boss (fine, I said to myself, I'll stop cycling them on the adds - which I did, we continued to fail but it wasn't my fault anymore, if it was in the first place), and I've been not taken because "my gear wasn't good enough" to do an instance whose finisher title was litterally mine at the moment I was rejected...
@massivelyop (on the other hand, I've kicked myself off groups for elitist reasons: I can't stand not being the worst player in a raid)
@massivelyop oh my god yes. I remember being in a guild for Everquest Landmark and they were hosting a big event. I volunteered to plan it and leadership approved. I did all the work to organize it, even getting it advertised by the GMs in-game and apparently one of the leading guild members felt slighted. They had a talk with me and told me that they don't see me in any leadership position in the future, kicked me and took all the work I did and claimed it as their own. Worst time ever.
