> Five Republicans on the House oversight committee joined with Democrats to subpoena the US attorney general, Pam Bondi, as part of the ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. > > The House oversight committee voted 24-19 to approve a motion introduced by Republican representative Nancy Mace to compel Bondi to testify. In addition to Mace, Republican representatives Tim Burchett of Tennessee, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Michael Cloud of Texas, and Scott Perry of Pennsylvania voted for the motion. > > The motion comes amid growing criticism from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle of the Department of Justice’s failures regarding the Epstein files, including accidentally releasing the names of survivors and redacting, without explanation, the names of people who may have committed crimes. Ooooooook. Here’s how I think this will play out.

She’ll stand trial. Tons of evidence will be presented for how she’s guilty. But then the courts will realize they can’t convict trumps right hand, and basically call it a whoopsie.

Back around 2013 there was a police chase here in Cleveland Ohio. I’m going to present this to you how the media portrayed it at the time. You let me know where you figured out what really happened.

Ok, so the chase starts in front of the city courthouse. A man and woman got into their car. The man, who was the driver pulled out a gun, pointed it a cop across the street, and fired 1 bullet at the cops, and then sped off.

This created a police chase. Soon 10 police cars were chasing them. Police from neighboring districts, which even though they’re still Cleveland police, usually act independant of each other. However they were called in to assist the chase which went on for nearly 2 hours.

The chase ended in an elementary school parking lot, where 137 shots were fired by 23 different police officers from 3 districts of Cleveland police. Both suspects were killed in the gun battle.

Did you catch it? Did you spot the bullshit? Well, lets continue.

In the court case that followed, the responding police officers were put on trial for homocide. The evidence showed that no gun was recovered to which police statements claimed they threw it out the window during the chase. It was never recovered. When questioned why they didn’t submit dashcam evidence from one of the cop cars always on dash cam, they claimed it happened off camera.

The problem with that claim, is that the cop who was shot at to begin this chase never was farther than 45 feet away from them, and they were in frame the entire chase. At no point can you see them throw out a gun.

In the end, it was revealed there was never a gun. It was the car backfiring, and he didn’t speed away, he casually drove off in a normal way. It wasn’t until he was being rammed by a cop car, without his lights on, that he sped off.

The judge then agreed the cause of death for both the man and the woman was caused by a bullet fired by the police. The judge then chose NOT to convict a single police officer.

His logic? Well we know a cop killed them. But it’s impossible to know which bullet it was that killed them, and which cop fired that bullet.

Each of this couple had over 40 bullets hit their body.

I fully suspect in this trial against Bondi a similiar situation. Where she’s guilty, and everyone knows she’s guilty, but the court finds a way to call it a oopsie-poopsie.

This is the world we live in.

Yea was here for that. Guy I went to HS with was on duty that night and joined the chase. Didn’t fire any shots but was on scene at the time it happened.

He testified truthfully during the trial, and wouldn’t you know he had to throw away a 10+ year career because after that all the other cops hated and harassed him.

During that murder, one of the cops jumped up on the hood off the car after it was stopped and unloaded his entire magazine down straight into the people inside.

Protect and serve my ass. And of course heaven forbid if we ever hold law enforcement accountable.

Not so hot take… Regular police should not have guns. Not with less lethal alternatives now which they already carry as well. If guns are necessary, that’s for SWAT.

If they don’t have their 9mm Universal Problem Solver, they’ll have to actually deescalate and work through situations.
