Maybe I wasn’t paying attention before, but it seems these past few weeks discourse has slowly shifted past craft-mourning sobfest to widespread oh-well! embrace of LLM-driven everything and even personal reinvention around this tech.

Still working through how I relate to it personally, and I’m sure I will find back the angle and motivation to pursue my usual interests, but on the short term (1) my RSS subscriptions list has gotten thinner and (2) my interest in working in public is flagging… 🤷

@db I'm still morally opposed to the basic premise of LLMs and not touching them myself. I agree that it's sad how a lot of people are able to look past the ethical issues, and not necessarily to do great things with them, as you say. Meanwhile, the cost to society is immense.
