ChuffYou know, the fun thing about doing covers month is learning about music, like I had to do a replacement for today's planned song, as surprisingly enough Kim Carnes 1981 version of Bette Davis eyes is basically the first. Oh sure, as is often, the writer recorded it, but hers was the first real version, and its apparently rarely been covered.
Ok, no problem, we grabbed this one, and while I wasn't entirely surprised to find that OC Smith's version is a cover, I was surprised to realize that the original was sung by country legend Roger Miller. Yeah, really, that blew my mind to hear that version.
