Did you know that the first recorded case of impacted wisdom teeth resulted in dating a #StoneAge skeleton incorrectly?

We used to think that the coarse #diet of 'cave people' made them have wide jaws with space for wisdom teeth. So, when a skeleton was found in 1911 without them, it was naturally assumed to be a minor.

Modern dentistry, however, revealed that the Magdalenian "girl" was actually an adult. Our diet must have changed as early as 15,000 years ago.

@mythologyandhistory did you know that in this era 10% of people are apparently born without a full set of wisdom teeth and 1% with no wisdom teeth at all?
I learned this when my dentist told me I didn’t have any. Obviously I keep my wisdom in a more secure place.

Hehe nice! My dentist told me I have a "great spacious jaw" because I didn't need my wisdom teeth removed, they just grew perfectly fitted & straight... I conclude I'm very #neanderthal 🦷

@mythologyandhistory well done! I can’t think of anyone who has told me they have all their wisdom teeth. I was FURIOUS with hubby for delaying, then when son was in hospital hubby got an infection, then he had 2 out but left the other two … until son was in hospital AGAIN and hubby got an infection AGAIN leaving me with no support while looking after 1 in hospital and another primary school kid. So none of that here, lol

Have you considered that your husband's wisdom teeth are predicting children's illnesses? You know, like how some people get knee pain when it's about to rain.

Luckily this can't happen anymore, thus your kids will be healthy forever 😬
