I'm not saying that I signed up for a running event in two months with almost no prior experience in running, but I'm also not _not_ saying it
It's "only" 10K, thankfully
Progress update: managed to run for an hour straight yesterday and not die. Could've ran longer if not for my shin. I think 10K is actually not impossible!

I'm 51yo and I'm about to start running too.
Was wondering on what you used to keep track of your running metrics. Which app.
Good effort. Keep at it.
@john3voltas I'm using a Garmin watch as well as Garmin Connect app. Technically you can also pair Garmin watches with Gadgetbridge: https://gadgetbridge.org/basics/topics/garmin/

Hmm. Got it.
I got no smart watch or anything. Just the phone.
Gonna head out to F-Droid and see what they have in store.
Thanks and good running.
@john3voltas @notthebee f-droid has OpenTracks https://f-droid.org/packages/de.dennisguse.opentracks.playstore/ I use it for leisure bike trips, but can categorize all kinds of activities.

Great tip. I'll look into open tracks.
