#utopeer is a decentralized #bittorrent tracker based on #nostr for publishing uploads, reviews, using #webOfTrust. Nostr relays are indexers.

Thoses torrents could be websites 🤔

Sorry spec is in french 🥖 but it follows the downfall of the biggest french trackers.

Definitely very cool. We are pursuing a federation model that can function as p2p itself, where we want actors/peers to have DID-like identity with trackers mostly serving the role of gateways, but leaving open direct peer communication for torrent metadata. The main thing we want is privacy among instances - where it is possible to extend the idea of private torrents to be "only exchange me as a peer to other known peers" rather than being just "exchange all peers with the special tracker key" and also to federate torrent metadata "silently" to create hidden mirrors that avoid takedown chains. Nostr isn't the best fit for that, but its a pretty obvious fit for if you are interested in an all-public bittorrent index of everything
