I can't find an option to buy M4 on this Buy page:
If I click on "Which Mac is right for you?" it takes me to the Compare Mac models page, which is great... except if you pick an M4 MacBook Air model.. the Pre-order button doesn't turn into Buy.. it turns into nothing! 👻
So I guess nobody is allowed to order MacBook Airs for a week?
Jon Edwards@thaddeus Supposing you're asking legitimately and not rhetorically, Apple's pattern in recent years has been to dump all existing, unsold, previous-gen inventory into the refurb store at a discount, which is why there's an abundance of options at the moment.
This allows them to "discount" what are effectively factory-fresh products without adversely impacting the overarching Veblen effect.
