We're three months away from WWDC26 and Apple still hasn't updated the Swift Playgrounds app with the SDKs from last WWDC
@stroughtonsmith they haven’t even finished the Liquid Glass updates in macOS. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@marioguzman @stroughtonsmith maybe they're going to scrap Tahoe changes and have started to just rebuild upon that which made Sequoia what it was? Not to say that they would eliminate the abomination known as liquid glass (because hubris), but I can't imagine anything good coming from anything built upon Tahoe. It's too much of a mess.
@ChrisPirillo @marioguzman I hate to tell you, the only way is forward. Apple plowed through iOS 7 and didn't fix things for 12 years, and that was 10x worse than what happened with Tahoe. Apple will fix macOS with more Liquid Glass, and it's going to move closer to iOS not further from it, as it has been doing now for 20 years. Especially if it now has to support touchscreen laptops, and if people inside Apple are debating putting it on iPad Pro
@stroughtonsmith @marioguzman might be the last nail in the coffin for me, then. iOS 7 shoved me to Android. I'm hopeful that Google's desktop will give everybody else a run for their money. The big platforms have gotten insanely lazy.
@ChrisPirillo @marioguzman you've been on Android long enough to know not to put your faith into one of their science projects 😅 In 2 years when nobody's buying Android desktops, they'll lose interest again like they did for tablets
@stroughtonsmith @marioguzman the Chromebook market never disappeared.
