25% of all the new cars registered in Britain in February were pure battery electric — level pegging with the number of non-hybrid petrol cars. 4% were diesel powered. There are now over 2 million EVs on Britain’s roads (2,018,300). With around 30 million cars and vans in total that’s roughly 1 in 15. The growth is steady.
