Yeah, between the constant errors, the character 500 limit (still), the lack of emoji support (I see a bunch of colons), the feed that just ends after like 100 entries, I'm starting to think about finding a new home.

@jchaven @SDF i have no major problem with the 500-character limit (this is where the #getafuckingblog tag came from) but the timeouts and unannounced, undocumented "database maintenance" is a pretty strong disincentive.

@jchaven @SDF $36 is onetime/lifetime. Still, the level of dollars involved should not make for an I-don't-give-a-fuck attitude. If you're gonna build a shit site, or even a half-assed one, warn people, or shut the fucker off and go play pool or something.

The MetaARPA was a one-time thing I did like 15 years ago.

When they spun-up a Mastodon instance it required (I think - it was almost 4 years ago) an annual contribution.
