I follow someone who wrote a book & didn't mention FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR that their publisher went bankrupt so they get NOTHING from any sales made since, & they JUST now said something about it.

Please tell your fans these types of things! We want to support YOU, not some thieving corporate shits.

@sambeawesome They might have been under a non - disparagment NDA ?

Or perhaps they needed sales numbers to help them find another publisher?

@Faintdreams Didn't sound like the case, and of course I'd be sympathetic if it was. But it sounded like they just felt awkward and frustrated in talking about it, which made sense too. I just want authors and artists to know that fans would be there for them if things like that happened.
