Why it can take 2 months to get an appointment in the UK’s National Health Service.

Useful & illuminating #infographic in the wild.

@infobeautiful I agree with the information, but the circles on the left seem to have been scaled by diameter, not by area, which distorts the impression.
@infobeautiful how many GPs were lost due to Brexit?

@oddhack
This.

My GP is Spanish.
My dentist (not NHS) is Danish, as is the other dentist in their practice.

I'm lucky to have them.

@infobeautiful

@infobeautiful I would normally let this pass but as you are "information is beautiful" there is no such thing as a "UK National Health Service", Healthcare is devolved.

We have four National Health Services all somewhat different (and all with different problems). The picture appears to be about NHS Scotland and the information on it pertains specifically to Scotland.

And yes America you could just do public healthcare by state if certain states didn't want healthcare..

@infobeautiful Two months would be gold for some exams here in Italy. I can witness hearing of "urgent" exams for a cancer given beyond 12 months, with the patient saying "I don't know if I'll be alive by then" and operators at the desk shrugging like "I'm sorry the concert tickets are over"
