The new #Macbook #Neo is quite pricy for a notebook with only 8GB RAM and no way to upgrade. Not quite sure what target audience they address.

Starbuck consumers that only browse the (bloated) internet, perhaps? I'm curious if I could run Linux on it, but then I might as well get an older MacBook Air M1/M2 to do so 🤔

@graves501 For Linux I'd rather buy a new Asus, Dell or Lenovo, etc which has way better hardware for the same price.

And for only browsing the bloated internet you can do all that on a iPad for half the price and even more portability.

Depending on the usecase one might argue that you don't even need to buy brandnew hardware from Lenovo etc. to compete with the Macbook Neo! 😁

But good point with the iPad. I can't really think of another demographic that MIGHT really use the Neo a lot.

Maybe people that are only casual laptop users that are fed up with Microslop?
