“If the penalty for a crime is a fine, then that law only exists for the lower class.”

This Ferrari has been parking in this spot illegally for over a year now. Regularly gets a ticket. But the owner does not care. Still cheaper and more comfortable than the parking garage 150m from this spot.

@bitboxer There have been some rulings where people lost their driving permits over repeated parking tickets because the repeated nature showed the driver's unwillingness to comply with rules, but that'd mean the (I guess) Staatsanwaltschaft were interested in pursuing such things…
@thegcat fun fact: the car is registered outside of germany. So nobody touching that. It’s too complex.
@bitboxer @thegcat isn't there an eu law requiring registration within germany if a car from another eu country is driven here for more than 6 months?
@asltf @bitboxer there is, but it's for tax purposes and it's easy/cheap to ignore…
@thegcat @asltf there is also the issue of insurance…might be uninsured if the car is outside of the country of registration for longer than 6 months, depending on the insurance contract
