If you ever had doubt whether or not there's more to Claude Code than this being a statistical parrot, just let it cook up some CSS and watch how it lacks a real mental model of the code it wrote. It'll repeat the same functionality over and over again with slightly different names.
I'm really not a big Tailwind fan, because the complexity grew a lot, you have basically a new vendor-locked in domain-specific language (see https://nuejs.org/blog/tailwind-misinformation-engine/) but if you're using Claude Code, the nice aspect of Tailwind is that the design tokens live right next to the HTML structure and you need less context.
