i will die mad about video games getting the term "depth of field" backwards
"more depth of field" means "more shit in focus" not "more blurry" you cretins

@luna god ive been getting into photography recently and this + larger/smaller aperture has been the bane of my existence

im never sure if when people say "more depth of field" they mean a broader range of focus or more of the blurry effect that people will often call depth of field

and a larger aperture -> number being larger or the actual hole being larger??

@juliaaa god the aperture one gets me too, I try to use wider/narrower instead but that doesn't stop everyone else
@luna oo thats a good one, thanks! ive been saying higher/lower when referring to the number but hadn't come up with a less ambiguous way to refer to the aperture itself yet
@luna modern graphics is when I blur things tho. The more the blur the more the moderner!
