I'm learning, by hard abuse of my mentions. That here on the fediverse, really contentious topics include:
- UBI
- Bike helmets
- Cars.
Toot about those, and you will attract all sorts of absolute bellends. It's a great way of swelling your block list.
At the same time, these topics can also attract the most amazing and wonderful people who write eruditely and beautifully on the topic, even when not completely agreeing.
Shame we have to put up with the former to experience the later.
@quixoticgeek Hi! I just feel like stating that.. well.. UBI is a good thing, Bike helmets are important (Especially full face ones, getting thwacked in the chin isn't healthy!), and Cars as transport isn't a good idea.
While I do enjoy motorsport, as I don't know how it would work with forms of public transport (namely trains.. I've yet to see train racing.. now there's an idea!)
