came in and did a ctrl f because I know other folks are going to mention it. Top tv series for me is firefly and top movie is lotr. I literally have a shelf displaying my dvds of just those above all the other media in a place of honor.

Yeah Firefly is amazing, even for people who don’t normally like its genres.

Occupied, a Norwegian show about Norway trying to stop being a petrostate.

Already mentioned: Chernobyl, Deadwood (not the movie), Six Feet Under (the finale is amazing).

If Firefly is about the little people, then Serenity is about James Bond.

Lots of people liked Serenity, but I think it was like a studio-made sequel: more, bigger, more, for no good reason.
