Let's do a fun twist on the classic question: what's the first thing you *uninstall* when getting a new computer/phone? 🤭

#AI #Copilot #BigTech

@Vivaldi if we're talking Windows then I suppose the first "uninstall" would be the hotmail account I used to activate it (after disabling OneDrive and creating normal non-connected admin accounts for the rest of the set-up process). Then (after installing Vivaldi) all the office crap. Then, using ShutUp10, all the hundreds of services phoning home to Microsoft - which (relevant to the thread here) includes everything related to CoPilot.
@mossman @Vivaldi I look at all the hoops people jump through to make windows useable now, how can that possibly be easier than installing linux? Creating dummy accounts to be able to login and create normal offline users; running third party scripts to disable tracking and ads and ai; following guides to disable built in crapware. I simply can't comprehend it.
@clmj @Vivaldi we have two newish Windows laptops and three older machines now running Q4OS... I'm just describing how I got the Windows laptops running nicely after we bought them. The older machines used to run Win10 and XP and all run better than before after switching to Linux, so I'm no Windows fanboy, if that's what you thought...
