@saera you mean to replace institutions that may or may not be reliable ongoing? Yes this concern has come up a few times over the last 18 months, and I agree, we see success with distributed models elsewhere, the main challenge is ensuring appropriate governance (and funding). Honestly maybe it's also a chance to improve historically biased and problematic approaches, too?

@fionabradley correct. The idea would be to have jurisdictions that would be able to take on the work to manage their own “instance” and feed to the federation. We can fix things how it suits us in our context and not be shocked when our records suddenly reflect the Gulf of America…
