Why Independent Product Testing Is Harder to Find

@siracusa I appreciate their good work too. I don’t buy things a lot so I’ll likely subscribe monthly when I’m updating something.

@siracusa It's interesting to read the overwhelmingly negative response in the comments. Most cite their only occasional need for reviews when a purchase is imminent, and I can understand that feeling. Not everyone reads reviews as a hobby. But then they go on to suggest schemes with lower-tier access like $1 for lifetime access to a single article or $3 for all the articles for a given category and model year, which seems...contradictory? I don't get why anyone would need "lifetime" access to a limited set of articles if you only want to read them right before making a purchase. And what good is lifetime access multiple years after a purchase is made?

Also, as you say regularly during ATP membership drives, just pay for one month and then cancel. Is $10 really that much more of a burden vs $3 when you're researching something that costs hundreds? 🤷‍♂️

@siracusa Thanks for this! Saw they had headphones reviews which is exactly what I've been looking for... signed up for a year membership!
