Thanks for sharing this. Been a while since I’ve updated my A3D. Will be installing it sometime this week.

Definitely some good QoL updates for the system. Powering off from the menu will extend the life of the power switch.

I’m still hoping/waiting for a “jailbreak” version of the OS. Mainly for a way to backup my games without having to buy additional hardware.

I haven’t updated since 1.2.0 and now there’s two good updates with lots of QoL stuff. I’m looking forward to trying Startup Action to play the inserted cartridge. See if it gets any close to the original hardware experience…
It does sound like a good update. Even if it’s not exact, it will definitely be faster than waiting for the OS to fully boot up and then selecting the cartridge. I’m partial to my wireless controllers now though, so I may still go with the slower option for now. Update later on with how things are working?
I tried it out and it’s as expected not as fast as original hardware. You get the Analogue 3D logo for a few seconds and then it boots into the game. It’s pretty cool though, my TV goes through a few seconds of “game mode enabled” anyway. You can still access the OS with Z + Start (I think, I do this with muscle memory), so I might leave this and see how it goes. If you already have a wireless controller paired up, you can just turn it on and it’ll connect to the 3D even before the game starts on the screen (tested with the NSO N64 controller).
