Don't really want to comment on what's happening right now but if you live in the US please avoid crowded spaces...
@lrz unfortunately that's also general problem nobody in power is willing to address, but I also live 20 miles from the world's largest nuclear weapons stockpile https://truthout.org/articles/puget-sound-is-home-to-the-biggest-nuclear-stockpile-in-the-world/
Puget Sound Is Home to the Biggest Nuclear Stockpile in the World

“Twenty miles west of Seattle is the largest concentration of deployed nuclear weapons in the US.”…

Truthout
@drbrain I guess this is well protected? I'm more worried about the type of attacks we had in Europe a while ago.

@lrz in theory it's well-protected, but that means a capable adversary will devote multiple warheads to the site and region so…

Unfortunately in the US it's difficult to distinguish whether or not such attacks are home-grown. In addition, the current government is certainly not taking seriously the anger inspired by its past actions

@drbrain are they capable of hitting such a target remotely? I thought the range of their missiles wasn’t that great.

Yeah the gov is happily protected while the general population will be the one targeted, I fear. There are probably hidden folks in the country planted there for that very purpose.

@lrz Iran? Not with a missile, and I would be shocked if they have any nuclear warheads
