I regularly switch between my private and main account on Mastodon (two different tabs bc two different instances) and MAN do I miss the thing from TweetDeck where I could quickly fav/boost a given post from any given account I had connected in there πŸ˜”

I wonder if someone made a good "TweetDeck* for Mastodon" web client at this point.

* multi-columns, multi-accounts *in the same view*, with a UI that looks nice.

@cheeaun Absolutely not

@eramdam @cheeaun To each their own. Vibe coded but also edited the code as well. So you’re welcome to check it out, but totally get it if you don’t want to go near anything AI made.

Good luck with your search!

@fedideck @cheeaun I'll give it an honest shake but this isn't giving me a good first impression, let's put it that way lol
@eramdam @cheeaun Haha no worries bud. Hey if you want a feature that’s not in it, LMK and I’ll add it.

@fedideck

I'm very picky but first impressions (and I assume you're aware of some of those issues):
1. the initial fetch of my home/notifications columns took close to a minute, making me think things were broken
2. #1 wasn't helped by the fact that the whole UI unmounts(?) when switching the tab away, causing everything to refresh
3. the "show reply context" thing feels REALLY busy visually. I get the idea but that's overwhelming IMO.
4. double `@` in my Mastodon columns
5. Not all topbar icons have a tooltip (schedule, filtered requests, search profile notes, session management, settings and sign out dont have one)
6. Clicking "add column" should probably prompt for a column choice, or maybe make a "placeholder column" that makes selecting a column type quicker than having to dig into the column's settings
7. Spacing issues with fav/boosts counts
8. I probably shouldn't see a button to follow myself

I might check it out when it's further into development, I'm willing to be surprised.

@eramdam thanks for the feedback. I’m working on some of those bugs right now. I’ll let you know when they’re fixed. I appreciate you.
