Efficiency cores are now performance cores. Not to be confused with performance cores, which are now super cores. Except some computers still have efficiency cores. New computers that would have had performance cores now have super cores. Older computers still have efficiency cores and performance cores, and by performance cores, I don’t mean performance cores.

@dgriffinjones Like how for the M1 the performance cores are Firestorm and the efficiency cores are Icestorm, for the M5 they presumably have 3 core designs instead of 2. I’m glad they’re using separate names for them instead of having shitty performance cores vs good performance cores or something stupid like that.
