@jackcole I think it's that and more. It is not customary in the US to hang huge banners of leaders or anyone else off federal buildings. A trump banner was installed at the DOJ less than two weeks ago.
These banners are an attempt to dominate public space. They were common under Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein regimes and other dictatorships.
Democracies don't do this.
