Lisa DeBruineAs an academic community, why can't we have just one format for references? If you never hear from me again, it's because trying to reconcile journal reference sections, bibtex, doi.org, crossref and openalex formats has murdered me.
Crossref is great for journal articles, and datacite is great for datasets and software. Bibtex is good for citations, but not as detailed.
I really tried to avoid it, but I've been forced into creating a 15th standard to rule them all :(
