Watched first Ep of Gachiakuta
Ok start i guess? I like the artstyle and the char design most so far.

Exposition writing was super cringe though. It's the kind of exposition that makes me second guess myself when showing other series (with more subtle writing) to other people irt "do they get it? Even though it's not explicitly explained?"

Let's see if that gets an better.

#anime

At second to last ep, I like it yadyada, BUT:
I believe I need to check out the manga? There have been mutliple moments of personal & psychological reflection that really shine through and strike a cord with my ongoing therapy even. Feels almost like they get buried under the shonen-ness of it all, so I really wanna know if those are even more developed in the source material - besides the fact it seems to deliberately play with and against the tropes.
can any #gachiakuta fans confirm or deny?

That said, I like Zanka a lot more than I ever would've expected - including the tropey flaws he Is not (yet) tackling.

Also forgot to tag the #anime and #manga crowd to chime in.

I keep thinking of how to turn this into a game, it just gives me the vibe it would fit well
