SozhaWell, the government agencies are very busy this side lately, in Bronkhorstspruit/Bapsfontein/places around, fining people who use illegal immigrants as workers on their property. According to my brother in law, the expected amount per person is about R70000, I don't have R140000 to pay. Until last Friday, we didn't even know those two don't even have passports or work permits. They were asked before, and dodged the questions every time, but because the lady worked at Cussonia Country Home, we thought she might at least have legal documentation...Turns out she had a temporary work permit that expired last year...and she never renewed it. Her husband doesn't even have a passport. How he got in from Malawi, only he knows. Sad to lose two workers who really put in much effort, but R140K isn't even within reach of what I can aford if I'm found to harbour illegal workers, so I've gotten control of my aviaries back, which is a good thing. Sad I had to fight with my dad for ages to try and get it back but he insisted that the worker should do it. Now there is no worker, so...stuff that should have been done by me has finally fallen back to me. I got fed up of fighting a battle I couldn't win because he believed that the worker took better care of my birds than myself. Still sad about Future and Dina's departure, but glad I got my aviaries back at least.
@cub80_appleby He is part of the reason why I struggle with mainstream life. I've been coddled too much, made to believe that I could do things, but if I tried and failed, they'd just take over the task. Also, always poor pitiful blind fuck, but I've grown used to that and just excepted it, no use fighting a losing battle. When I changed from contract house CompuMind which was my mom's company, I suddenly had to deal with the harsh reality that you can't just climb in a car on a Friday afternoon and go somewhere if you don't have work...you have to ask the manager for half-a-day's leave. In CompuMind, if I wanted to go somewhere, I went, because the stuff was managed in the background for me. I had control of my bird cages from October 2022 when they were first built, but when I bought my African Grey on June 14 2024, my sister decided that she had to come and throw a fit about me wanting everything and not taking care of stuff. There was nothing wrong in my bird cages. After that my sister decided that my dad should take over my aviaries...and then my dad, because he's in his seventies, decided that the worker should do it. I tried and failed forever to make them understand that I'm not stupid and can actually manage the feeding and watering of my birds, and I was ignored. Now they have no choice in the matter, there is nobody that can do the work that the worker did in the past, so my sister's children has to start feeding their chickens and spurwinged ducks again. Her husband and those who can still see good enough, has to cut the lawn over weekends, but I'm glad that, despite the sad circumstances, stuff has finally forced my dad to see that he needs me to do the stuff in my yard, like I always had, until my sister had her hissy fit on 30 June 2024.
@Sozhami Wow! I don't normally say it but your sister seems to be abelist too! I believe you can do anything you put your mind to! They need to back off or I'll ask the inverted dog to strike them down with every single problem you face even today and see how they like it when you tell them that someone else would do what they've been doing all of their lives! Trust me they won't like it at all but it'll serve them right!
@cub80_appleby Which is another reason why I sometimes think disability is a curse more than anything else mostly. I would not state that I can do anything I put my mind to...because I do have limitations, but yes, most of my family are ableist, but I've gotten so used to it over 48 years, actually 47 of my 48 years of life, that it didn't bother me until I changed contract houses to work directly for the company. And because stuff don't work like I was made to believe they do, I lost control, and had my mental breakdown on 4 February this year. On Wednesday it'd be exactly a month ago. All because people have been softy softy with me my whole life, and didn't really expose me to the full horror that was mainstream life. I'm coping better with it now, but there are still struggles, and I think they will forever be what they are, all because people thought it was better to try and protect me from life. And take control of stuff when no external help was asked for/needed.
@Sozhami True! Sometimes I feel that way too! In the longrun though I'm glad you've mostly recovered!
@cub80_appleby I wouldn't easily ask the inverted dog to do something extreme against my family, even though they make me angry, and are abelist at that, but whatever I sew, that is what I'll reap as well. So I keep my mouth shut, and live to the best of my ability, even if I have to use meds to keep anger and other negative emotions under control now. A day will come where we'll all have to stand before the throne of the master. I'm not blameless, I have fallen short many times, and will probably forever fall short until my dying day. But that day when we stand before the golden throne, all will be made equal, and every single human on this planet will be judged on what they did and why. I don't want to be the one to burn because I cursed my people when they thought they were doing good. It isn't good for me now, but they can wait, and so can I, until the day when the end arrives and the judgement falls.
@Sozhami True enough! However some of my A B contingent of my family like my uncle I never talk to anymore is sadly beyond Earthly forgiveness and I'm sure He understands that!
@cub80_appleby The inverted dog understands us all, and there are cruelty and other reasons one cannot be judged for. But all will be made equal, even governments that do squek now, including that idiot duck. The insults and creulty that was thrown your way, not even I would talk to those people ever again if I could help it. I'm living on the same farm as my dad and my sister though, and this is my property, meaning I only have to pay for wifi and electricity. My salary would be too little if I had to rent a place in town that could house all the stuff I currently have in my house.
