i don't know what to think.

@babblingaboutstuff as long as it's real, it could be interesting. Not knowing this author at all, my biggest concern is that it could be whatever the writing equivalent of vibe-coded is.
If LLMs have taught me anything, it's how much I want to connect with another person through art.
just had a look. i have it seems several books of them, probably bought on sale. i have read none of them so far. i read the blurbs and it seems one is set in china and one in japan, two maybe in the states or canada or great britain, going by the names and one is set in a fantasy realm.
so being set in an asian country and having asian protagonists isn't unusual for the author.
i just didn't know how i feel about a, presumably, non thai and western person
1/x
2/x
who isn't related to the industry write a story like that.
but i realize that is completely bonkers of me.
for one i don't know if the author maybe is of thai origin, has friends or relatives who are thai, live in Thailand and wven if they worked in the industry. all possibilities.
and i don't expect an author who writes a bl romance about a bamd to be able to play an instrumwnt or to have been in a band themselves etc.
3/3
also i am not a fan of "only if you are/have experienced z you are allowed to write about it"
so i have no clue or would need to gi deeper in my mind to know why this book seemed different.
edit: as i haven't read the books i have i can't say how 'real' they are. at least one is from 2017 i guess that was before vibe coding but not before mass producing books/sloppy writing.
(something i keep noticing with another author and i am still buying their books 😢)
I checked and the author has other mlm books but not with Thai characters/setting. Interesting but not to the point I want to read it
when i came across it i saw that there is at least a second book in the series with thai protagonists. not sure if the books intersect in anyway or just have a country and industry in common
don't think i saw it. especially if it is toxic.
while looking for it just now i saw a short film series? kiss kiss sxx: raise me and kiss kiss sxx: folding? you
dont know if there are more.
has anyone seen those?
@babblingaboutstuff I haven't seen them but feel like shorter stories tend to be more well crafted on average
Instagram just showed me this 🍬 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Us2_S-AE3I

each film is about 12 minutes.
but i am intrigued with the premises...
instagram wont let me watch it. is it about the sport or something else?
thanks. that was funny 😅
and it wasn't even the cheap sweets 😅
that reminds me... do you remember the story that made the rounds, maybe a couple of years ago, when someone ate a big bag of gummies and only later realized it was a special kind with sweeteners that will clean out your colon if eating too much of them in one go.
thankfully i don't remember too much about that film...
edit:
but i think i remember the story was a screenshotted amazon review 😅
but your video was sweet. my devious mind just thought how one of the fighters could incapacitate his opponent.
it seems i need to finally watch gelboys...
i could open your link! yay.
when i tried a couple of hours ago to see the thread on the gummy bears on reddit it didn't let me. booh.
there was a thread a few posts down about gelboys 2
@babblingaboutstuff I think the story can keep going, but I feel like they couldn't really keep up their production style for seven episodes. I would hope for something short and sweet.
