Has anyone of my followers ever designed a pcb that was „sold“ later?
If so, how high was the certification effort?

Id loke to get my pcb to the people but i doubt that many would be able and have the tools to solder it.

My idea would be selling it finished but i want to go 100% safe and legal.

@Hoonse if the board doesn't work on its own, but requires soldering wires to it (or connecting a cable the user has to manufacture themselves) it's a kit and you don't need to do full CE certification. You still need to register it with an e-waste service provider (look up WEEE).

@hennichodernich thank you henning. Ill check that out! I didnt know that this would work, i always thought that you need ce if some/most parts are populated.

That would make it easier. :)

@Hoonse I am not a lawyer and I don't know how that approach holds trial in court, but that's how all the ham radio shops are dealing with this issue
@hennichodernich ok i understand. But i think its easier with ham radio because it you get the ham licence you are allowed to make your own hardware. Ill read into that.
