Bought a seven year old Nissan Leaf 40kw just before Xmas
Now Nissan tells me they don't care enough about their existing customers to let the mobile app continue to work for these cars, so we will no longer be able to pre heat the car before driving
So much for trusting a company...
Guess I will never buy a Nissan again
This keeps getting boosted, so I figured I'd collect some of the stuff I found out after I posted it:
This is NOT about mobile network shutdown in Norway.
- 4G/LTE started up in 2009
- My car was made in 2018
- 3G shut down in 2021
- 2G shut down last new years eve
- The app worked fine after that
It's either excuses to why they won't bother to run their servers anymore.
Or, they wish to cut the tiny cost related to keeping cars online (Which I would happily pay myself).
